Thursday 5th October – walk and bike *** – Sunrise prom and two rivers bike – Sunny periods.

I would like to start by thanking everyone for their Birthday wishes for my 70th last Friday, after a 5 star windsurf foil I then had a fantastic weekend with family and friends including the two lovely Grandchildren:)
So after an exhausting few days I thought we would take it easy today but I was wrong, decided to head down to Felixstowe seafront to catch the sunrise which sadly was disappointing but Mag and I still had a nice walk to the end of the prom at the Manor end and home for breakfast. Witgh the warm sun appearing I could do my exercises in the back garden while Mag pottered, I did doze off for awhile! Being such a nice sunny day with light winds I decided to head on the bike, Mag decided to walk up the town instead.Down through Langer Park eventually reaching the dock view point and along the River Orwell where workmen are putting concrete down on the old jetty, I hope they are not spoiling one of our favourite lunch spots??? Back through Landguard Nature Reserve to Felixstowe prom which was fairly busy. At the Fludyers I headed around to the beach huts on te cliff with some lovely fluffy clouds too. Along the much quieter prom past The Dip and onto Felixstowe Ferry where the Fire and Rescue service were out on the Deben in a couple of ribs! I had a snack by the jetty, a quick trip around the boat yard before taking the short route home on full power as I was into a head wind! Home for a cuppa and cake:)
